Merry Christmas!!

We’ve had a wonderful evening….
It all started with a very tastey supper served by the hands of our ‘Master Chef’ Schwaby. We then moved to the living room for our traditional opening of presents from the Deutchies, followed by our Christmas light tour of the city. We returned home to a phone call for a suprise invite to our great friends Jeff & Tina. So off we drove for a short laugh filled visit. We finally finished our day off with a family hot tub under the stars. What a way to bring in Christmas day!
The Woody’s wish you all a very Merry Christmas, a fun-filled, happy, healthy year ahead in 2007!

The finished tree. All 12 feet of it!
Well it’s that time of year again when we’re in the final stretch to Christmas with our annual Christmas Tree harvest. Every year we gas up the power saw (bring the axe and swede saw just in case), pack up the kids, go for breakfast, grab a hot chocolate and search out our tree that has grown for us for the years Christmas season. This year like every other we grabbed a real beauty! The tree was suprisingly heavy! It must have had alot of water in it. Or maybe because the beast was 15′ high when we brought it out of the bush! It was a bit of a struggle to get the tree in the house to say the least. Margot likes to decorate the tree all alone while we (are told to) leave the house. And every year it looks just gorgeous!
It’s beginning to look alot like Christmas smiley

What to do…

It’s the time of the year when we just can’t seem to get out and do much of anything. The water is too hard now for windsurfing, the ice is not quite thick enough for kiting on the lakes and there isn’t enough snow yet to go kiting in the fields! I think next year I’m going to go somewhere in November to fill the period of no wind activity we seem to have every year. I guess I should be happy I have time to get my body healed up from my season of stretches & strains.
