Windsurfing in Canada: Lesson 101
Windsurfing in Canada late into November requires some serious planning in order to minimize your risk to the elements. I’ve outlined some safety procedures I hope you all benefit from.
Rig your gear (with warm clothes on), then place beer strategically near hot tub…
Pre-warm feet in hot tub prior to hitting the ice cold water…
And I mean ICE-COLD-WATER….
Beach start with water level below “the boys” to prevent major shrinkage…
Sail your ass off until you can’t feel your fingers anymore…
Run back up to hot tub, undress as fast as you can…
Jump in warm hot tub and go Ahhhhhh…
In a nut shell, that’s Windsurfing in Canada 101.
Stay ‘Cool’…

Thanks for the lesson! I’m glad to see winter is making it’s way here finally. This between seasons is killing me! Have fun!
Lesson 102: Marry a good beer-schlepper wife
Woodette/Margot
CUTE!
Lesson 103: Repeat lesson # 102!

I think I’ll stick to playing my guitar by the woodstove. For a dude that hates to be cold you must REALLY love windsurfing!
I think all lessons should start with beer and end in a hot tub.
Paul, have you ever heard Woody playing or tuning a guitar??? He better stick with windurfing
Hey come on! I can tune a guitar like nobody’s business! LOL!

Beer & hot tubs go hand in hand, just like woodstoves and guitars!
again, I repeat, – you guys are nuts!! Thank god you guys are good sailors, that could be a nasty shock:)
Gosh! You all are suffering the effects of “between seasons”. Ha!
Can you just skip all the above steps and go straight to the hot tub and beer?!?!?!
))))))))))))

I loved your november story, hockey story and the kite surfing. Kite surfing is really popular down here as well and of course the water is in a liquid form
