Now that's a major Woody!!
Woody with his new Woody!
The wood is oh so smooth!
Today our friend Paul delivered my brand new 2007 Mistral Screamer Woody!! It’s always a thrill to open up something new, but this was special. Woodette ordered this board for me over a year ago. Mistral had some development problems with the Screamer Woody with the wood delamanating, or something like that, so they opted to ‘get it right’ and produce it for 2007. This Woody Screamer is 1 of only 150 worldwide, so I’m pretty damm stoked to even get one!! Kudos to Paul for all his phone calls, emails, etc he made to Mistral to make sure he was one of the dealers to get one. Paul told me there were only two Woody’s delivered to the USA, and I have one of them!!! WOOHOO!!
Everybody needs a Woody ![]()

Merry Cristmas, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008…
I’m so happy you finally got your Woody!!!!!
..and by the way this one of the most beautiful boards I’ve ever seen…almost too perfect and shiny to take on the water
The maiden voyage for ‘The Woody’ will be on the clear-clean(er) waters of Thunder lake for sure!
Nice board man, that is increadible. IS it heavy? You got to bring that puppy down to Iowa in May. And for sure bring the tandem.. Do you have the “roof rack” done on the Blu Moose?
Our lake is ice free now, LArry me and Randy are heading out Saturday after we do some welding on my new trailer…
Yeihaaa…
No it’s not heavy at all Uffe. I’m guessing around 18-20lbs. I should have put it on the weigh scale just for curiosities sake, but ‘The Woody’ is now hanging on the wall in the basement, so it’ll have to wait till the lakes are opened up.

Got a big package shippment today, guess what, it was my new “fried ship”. My SB Gemini Tandem, I opened it up right away and it is a beauty. I bet I could just put a back sail on it and pitch a tent on the front, it is a full 100cm wide, close to 13 ft long. Daggerboard that retracts and a 70cm, Drake Formula fin w as well as a smaller fin for shallow water. I am heading out early from work to try it out today… Whooohaaa here I come first session of the year…. I will post pics later…
What a beautiful streamlined-looking board! You are one spoiled surfing dude!! Love Mom xoxo

Woody,

That is hot looking!
You now have a new dilemma, though. That board is so good looking that you can’t just throw a regular old Neil Pryde sail, carbon mast and boom on it.
Now you have to get some sweet retro-looking sail coupled with a wood boom and mast to complete the “woody” look
That is one gorgeous board!
I agree with Fred on the sail/boom idea.
The board? Wow, a real beaut Clark.
A Super Freak would be so cool for the Woody:

You can custom pick the colours.
This would be a sweet Super Freak in a 6.4-7ish for the Woody board.

I’m starting to paint already…the German flag is black, red and gold. That is just the coolest idea
Woody,
You are definitely on the right track with the Canadian flag!
Did you design that???
Imagine winning first place on that thing!
Fred
Actually Fred, Hot Sails Maui designed the sail for Windsurf Canada. I will get one to support the ‘colours’ and to compliment the board. What a great idea from Hot Sails Maui!’
Wow! It’s finally here. Looks great! Really shiny and smooth.
Thats one slick looking board woody. KNowing you you’ll be ripping it as soon as the ice opens up, watch out for ice bergs.
that’s an awesome looking board Woody!! Kudos to Paul and Margot for working so hard to get it to the MAN!!
hate to say it as its been said here over and over ,you gunna sail that, its a piece of art!! I would be tempted to bag it and put it away as it is limited edition , years from now be worth a few bucks in the mistral museum in germany , anywho.. make sure you get a volcano base and and or a mast base deflector!!! nice ride..
Hey Daddy-o!! Im on my PSP! hehe! Love you! – Stephanie
Gorgeous board…congratulations on a pretty darn unique ride! Looks like a great trip to Hatteras as well.
My name is Travis I’m with Mistral. Sorry again for the long wait, I’m stoked that you like the board. It’s a beauty and I hope you enjoy it!
The delay last year was due to the weight of the wood they were using last year, it was too heavy…the new wood is just right and looks great!
If anyone is interested, we still have the other woody Screamer in stock. We only imported two for North and South America. If anyone is interested contact Paul at Windplay or your local Mistral dealer and he can order it for you.
